It’s been 15 years since Nancy first asked me to organize weekly friday night live sessions in her Galerie at hamburg’s Dammtorbahnhof railway station. The concept was to invite local pros to jam when they were not otherwise engaged and its worked out famously as the busman’s holiday for musicians in town. Thousands of fans have come through the galerie doors over the years or stood patiently outside to hear and see the finest Jazz talent hamburg has to offer. Its a lovely compliment for the galerie program and for Nancy herself.
